7th Grade: God and His People
In seventh grade, our students study the Old Testament, learning about the relationship created by God between God’s self and the people of Israel.
8th Grade: The life and work of Christ
In eighth grade we study the Gospels, and we focus on as much as we can learn about our Lord Jesus as possible in the year. We cover his life, teachings, miracles, parables, and finally his death and resurrection. What’s key for us is to get to know how God has come to us in the Son, and what that means for our lives and our faith. Jesus is God’s deepest revelation to us not only of God’s love but of God’s reality in our lives. That’s what we want to encounter in this year’s work.
9th Grade: Who God created us to be
We change gears a bit when our students make it into their last year of Confirmation. Instead of studying the Bible or the Catechism, we focus more on living our lives as Christians. We hear from older members of the congregation, meet with Mentors, and have small group discussion time.
